United Kingdom: Samsung appoints Monster Media to promote its latest mobile phone

Samsung and Cheil Worldwide have partnered Monster Media in order to introduce the new Samsung Tocco Ultra Edition to potential buyers in UK.
A total of 18 interactive screens (of 46 inches) replicating the interface of the new mobile device have been installed by Monster Media on Carephone Warehouse stores’ windows across the country (mostly in London).
Via movement detectors that merge motion interactivity with touch interactivity, consumers are able to engage with the touch screens that essentially act as oversized, functional cellular phones. Users can test numerous features of Tocco such as its music service, camera, Google plugin, etc… – view video here.
Each interactive window tracks the number of people who walk past the display as well as the number of interactions, providing Samsung with a tangible ROI measurement.
The promotional campaign, launched in early April 2009, will end on May 1st.
It should be noted that Samsung conducted a similar initiative in late 2008, engaging with Eyeclick to launch its Omnia mobile device in Europe (see here [fr]).
