Belgium: Screening Media launches network in golf clubs
Screening Media launched in April a new digital signage network in golf clubs throughout Belgium. A dozen sites are currently equipped, aiming at a total of 35 by October 2009.
One or two touch-screens are set up at the entrance of each club, where advertising messages are broadcast as screen savers. By touching the screen, the club member has access to an interface allowing him to apply directly for competitions, watch scores or even follow his handicap.
The system, entirely financed by advertising, is installed for free.
It should be noted that Screening Media also operates a network in 110 bars and restaurants in Brussels and is about to deploy three additional installations: in retail, taxis (in partnership with a Canadian company) and fitness centers.
The company also plans to enter the French market in early 2010.
