Europe : OVAB Index Published – the digital signage market shows signs of optimism

OVAB Europe has published the results of its first Digital Business Climate Index (DBCI), designed to take the pulse of the Digital Signage market in Europe.
Over 200 companies in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, Scandinavia, Benelux, Hungary and the UK were consulted during June and July.
In response to the question “How do companies see their current economic situation with respect to Digital Signage products and services ? ” – 39 percent responded with “good”, 44 percent with “satisfactory” and 17 percent with “poor”.
Concerning expectations for development over the next six months, 78 percent of the respondents expect to see an improvement, 20 percent no change at all and 2 percent anticipate a poor development.
The resulting index is 43, on a scale ranging from -100 (all responses negative) to + 100 (all responses positive), placing the Index in a “reasonably positive area”.
The DBCI was undertaken by invidis consulting, founder member of OVAB Europe. The next Index will be published at the beginning of the 4th trimester of 2009.
