Pudsey Grangefield School, one of the flagships of UK programme `Building Schools for the Future`, has chosen Net Display Systems’ PADS software as their digital signage solution.

In collaboration with Matrix Display, Anders + Kern (NDS’s UK partner) has supplied and integrated the PADS Professional digital signage system, which manages 37 public displays installed across the school. These screens are divided into 10 independent content zones allowing the establishment to schedule content to each of them.

A quite unique aspect of the project was that the school wanted to be able to record TV content from terrestrial (Freeview) and satellite. Recordings needed to be accessible from the teachers PC so that they could be displayed within classes on their interactive whiteboards. With Net Display Systems’ digital signage solution, these recordings can also be viewed on any of the 37 public display screens.

Building Schools for the Future, the biggest-ever school buildings investment program in the UK, aims at rebuilding or renewing nearly every secondary school in Great Britain. It seems that Digital Signage has a role to play.
