Norway: never.no Partners With Nobel Peace Center for Interactive Civil Rights Exhibit
never.no today announced its Interactivity Desk is powering part of a unique exhibit, “From King to Obama,” on display at the Nobel Peace Center in Oslo through April 11, 2010. The digital signage portion of the exhibit, whose technology was a collaborative effort by never.no, MORE Mobile Relations, and Active Loop Television, invites viewers to post their own text or photo responses using their mobile phones. The responses are then incorporated by never.no’s technology almost instantaneously into a collage appearing on the digital sign.
The “From King to Obama” exhibit honors two Nobel Peace Prize Laureates by focusing on the American Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s and how it paved the way for Barack Obama’s historic presidential election victory. Civil Rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. earned the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964 at the age of 35, the youngest recipient ever.
Five to 10 visitors per day have been contributing either a photo, a text, or a combined response to the video collage, using their mobile phones.
