EYE announced today it will invest $3.5 million to launch new high-impact Large Format Landscape Digital sites in Australian malls.
The roll out of the large units will be part of a substantial upgrade of EYE’s existing network of 130 units, “which will see all units increase in size using the latest LCD ultra thin framed screen technology”.
The new sites are four times larger than the existing landscape sites and are the same scale as roadside supersites. Planned for early in the new year, they will appear in the highest traffic and retail sales centres throughout Sydney such as: Bondi Junction, Sydney Central Plaza and Chatswood Westfield. Additional units in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane will also be rolled out over coming months.
The announcement follows the recent launch by Val Morgan Retail Media of a multi-million dollar investment to install 30 superscreens in 24 shopping centres across Australia.
