Akoo has been awarded a patent by the United States Patent and Trademark Office for its On-Demand technology, allowing viewers to control television programming with mobile devices.

The patented technology currently powers its nationally deployed social music television network in premium out-of-home environments. The company’s patent portfolio strategy, however, includes additional applications in the home, as well as across multiple platforms, including social media, mobile, and gaming consoles.
