By March 2010, JCDecaux, will be operating a total of 5,200 screens across the world. Certainly a modest number – for comparison the French group operates a million paper faces – but the pace of growth has been accelerating in recent years (from 2,000 screens in October 2008 to 3,000 in March 2009).
According to Eric Penot, JCDecaux’s Digital Media Manager, the migration of selected sites to digital will be undertaken at a brisk pace.
He also confirmed that the company is planning on standardising its technical platforms on a worldwide basis.
