China Telecom is investing in the deployment of a network of LED screens in the town of Jiangmeng (in Guangdong province).
A first screen has already been installed in the central bus station of this middle-sized town (3.8 million inhabitants) and a second has just started operating, at the beginning of February, on the façade of the Yiyuan Plaza, a tall office block. More than 6 million cars and 9 million pedestrians pass by the building each month.
This second screen has a surface of 225,4 m2 (9,8m x 23m) and shows messages of general interest as well as advertising from both China Telecom and third-parties.
More installations are in the pipeline.
