North America: PRI’s NADSI Also Sees Increased Investments in DOOH
Platt Retail Institute has published its North American Digital Signage Index (NADSI) for the First Quarter 2010.
The Current DS Index increased from 113.76 in the third quarter of 2009 to 115.53 in the fourth quarter of 2009, a 1.56 % increase. Of the nine Index components, capital expenditures and ad spending on DOOH networks registered the greatest gains, while selling prices and screens deployed by networks declined the most.
The Near-Term DS Index was 134.10, a 16.07 % increase in positive feeling over the next three-to-six months versus the fourth quarter 2009. This is down slightly from the revised 18.02 % increase in the Near-Term DS Index for the third quarter 2009. Of the nine Index components, capital expenditures and ad spending on DOOH networks again registered the greatest gains, while revenue and industry business activity were the slowest growth components.
These results are in line with the last DSE Barometer, which also showed an increase of investement in Digital Signage/DOOH.
