MonopolyMediaFrancelogo Romanian leading DOOH operator Monopoly Media has big plans for… France. In an interview with Ooh-tv.fr, Heloïse d’Eliassy, COO of Monopoly Media France, informed us that the company is aiming at having a base of 5,000 screens installed by the end of 2012.

Monopoly Media is currently running a Scala-powered digital signage network for Cigale TV in 150 bakers and 30 newsagents in Paris. Deployment plans for the network are bold, intending to cover 3,000 bakers and newsagents by the end of 2011.

Monopoly Media has also begun the roll out of a digital signage external communication network in branches of the BRED bank in Paris (21 branches have already been equipped) and will start a pilot scheme for a chain of luxury goods.

For all of these installations, Monopoly Media acts as an integrator and doesn’t take on ad-sales, as they do in Romania for their own networks.

Launched in November 2009, Monopoly Media France is 51% owned by Monopoly Media Romania. The rest of the capital is shared between Gabriel Faflei (22%), General Manager of Monopoly Media Romania, and an investment fund (27%).
