Scala: Europe Provides Growth
At its recent conference in Amsterdam, Scala was very upbeat about its potential for growth during 2010. In fact, in terms of revenues, March was already the best month in the group’s history.
However, 2009 remains a year to be forgotten for the software publisher, which saw a decline in activity in comparison to 2008 (its first decrease in revenue on an annual basis since 2002).
Nevertheless, Scala was able to count on the strength of its European operations: this area generated 47% of global turnover in 2009, ahead of North & South America (39%) and Asia (6%).
Denmark (+39%), Germany (+25%) and France (+8%) did particularly well.
