Ad Airport Media and Clear Channel Interspace Airports have deployed at Larnaca International Airport one of Cyprus’ largest digital signage networks, consisting of more than 330 LCD screens and powered by more than 40 Scala 5 Players.
Upon arrival, travelers are met by two state-of-the-art digital signage media: the Sequential Digital Strip and i-Player, which are installed next to the terminal’s moving walkway, or travelator (see video below).
The Sequential Digital Strip is made of blocks of eight, 16, 24, 40 and 64 screens. The same creative message is placed on each screen block, and the duration of the content loop matches the time a passenger stands on the travelator.
The i-Player consists of seven 52-inch high-definition LCD screens, set up to create the illusion of a single canvas. It enables the broadcast of coordinated and synchronized creative messages to passengers on the travelator.
The baggage claim area also features five video cubes, which have been created from 30 40-inch LCD screens in 3×3 and 2×3 configurations each. All five cubes play a synchronized message on all sides simultaneously. This gives travelers a 360-degree view of the brand advertised in the entire area at the same time.
The majority of the displayed advertisements focus on Cyprus and what it has to offer visitors. Advertising content is spread across an array of high end brands ranging from Rolex and Ulysse Nardin, telephone providers such as Vodafone, luxury golf properties for sale, private banking products, etc.
