UK: Double Digit Growth for DOOH in Q1 2010
The Outdoor Advertising Association (OAA) has reported double digit growth for Digital Out of Home (DOOH) revenues in the first quarter of 2010. According to the industry body’s figures, DOOH revenues between January and March rose 11% year-on-year to £19.06m, up from £17.14m in the same quarter last year.
These figures are just half a million shy of those earned in the whole of 2004 (£19.59m).
Industry experts predict double digit increase in UK DOOH revenues in 2010; outdoor advertising agency Kinetic expects revenues to grow to around £82m, an increase of 12% on 2009, while media research company Screen Digest is predicting a 20% growth.
