Hyundai IT In an interview with Ooh-tv.fr, Alain Kestler, Director of Hyundai IT France, announced that the Korean company has won the contract to provide virtual showrooms, i.e. car configurators, for the new Citroën DS3.

The terminals use two screens: one, a 19-inch touch-screen which allows the customer to configure his car, and the second, a large 42-inch screen which displays the results.

Hyundai IT supplies the complete hardware solution – from the 42 inch screen with fittings, the 19” touch-screen, the PC, the HDMI cables – as well as the custom-built housing. The software has been developed by Dagobert.

A total of 1,100 dealers in Europe (France, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy and Portugal) have already been fitted.

The project will now advance to the next phase, since the terminals will also be used for other models, such as the DS4, the C5, C4 and the C3.

Hyundai IT has also been chosen to supply car configurators for Peugeot too. These will be deployed in the brand’s outlets across Europe (except France), as well as in other international markets.

In this case, the Korean company will supply custom-built furniture housing a 46 –inch screen, protected by Securit glass, and with a software solution from “Les Argonautes”.

These installations are already up and running in England, Japan and in Chile. When complete, this deployment will be extended to a total of over 3,000 dealerships.
