Instore Solution has become the distributor for YCD Multimedia’s software solution in France.

“This doesn’t mean that we become exclusively an integrator for YCD – we’ll continue to use other software according to our customers needs. But it does mean that we can now use this solution to be able to respond to the increasing number of RFPs in the sector, particularly those that require a sophisticated solution”, Raphaël Cambier, the Lille-based company’s Managing Director told us.

Instore recently won the contract to deploy digital signage in the various Sciences Po campuses, using a YCD solution. During summer, the Paris sites were all fitted and sites in the rest of the country will be equipped by the end of the year.

Instore is also heavily involved in touch-screens. It supplied the consoles that were recently installed in the Carrefour Planet pilot stores, and is also involved in a similar project for Surcouf in Lille which requires a network of screens and touch-screens driven by thirty Instore Solution players.

“The French market may seem calm, as far as major projects are concerned, but these last four months have been the best in Instore Solution’s history”, according to Raphaël Cambier.

And prospects for the future are also encouraging. The company has won two new significant projects: one involves the installation of consoles and screens in the Gitem chain of electrical goods stores – pilots are up and running and full deployment in the chain’s 400 stores should start by the end of the year. The other involves installations for the 5 à Sec (Dry Clean International) dry cleaning chain across the world.
