China: China MediaExpress Adds Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport’ Express Buses to its Network
China MediaExpress Holdings, Inc. has entered into an agreement with a media company in Chongqing, to purchase the exclusive right to operate digital signage screens and to supply entertainment programming along with paid advertising on all 26 airport express buses originating from the Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport.
This three-year contract goes into effect on October 1, 2010. CME will pay the media company a one-time fee for the acquisition of the operating rights, in addition to a fixed monthly concession fee over the term of the contract, with an annual increment of 20%.
In terms of passenger traffic, the Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport was the tenth largest nationwide and the third largest in southwest China, handling more than 14 million passengers in 2009.
