This new entity, which should start operation on July 1st. 2011, will “completely redefine the use of all advertising sites with a clear orientation towards the future and the use of new technologies”.
The company will also market “a televisual media dedicated to the relationship between passenger and airport” at all three airports. The channel will be based on Aéo, the digital media platform already in operation at Orly and Roissy (nearly 300 screens).
The joint-venture will operate for nine and a half years, and its creation will need approval from the European Competition Commission.
JCDecaux has already been running the existing advertising concession for Aéroports de Paris, the second biggest European airport operator in terms of passenger traffic, and the first in terms of freight and mail.
