Germany: Bayer Building Media Facade Abandoned

Bayerfassade2 The huge media facade installed on the former headquarters of the Bayer pharmaceuticals group in Leverkusen, has been closed down. The reason cited: continuing technical problems which prevented the installation from functioning correctly.

The 120 meter tall building, with a surface of 17,500m², was fitted with 5.6 million LED pixels, making it on of the biggest installations of it kind in the world.

Now, the building is scheduled for demolition.
