China: VisionChina Media Renews Contract with Guangzhou Subway and Shenyang Buses, Extends Network in Shenzhen
VisionChina Media has renewed its exclusive contract to operate its digital mobile television advertising network on Guangzhou subway for the next five years. The new contract, effective May 1, 2011, includes the five existing subway lines and new extensions of those lines, as well as three new lines. In total, VisionChina Media will manage 10,025 screens on all eight subway lines in Guangzhou.
The company also renewed its exclusive contract with Liaoning Beidou Xingkong Digital Television Media Co., Ltd., to operate on Shenyang’s bus network for the next three years. This partnership went into effect April 1, 2011.
Additionally, VisionChina Media has signed a contract to add three new subway lines to its existing subway network in Shenzhen for the next five years. Effective July 1, 2011, the deal concerns 5,416 screens.
