Canada: AMT Awards Exclusive Advertising Management Contract to Astral Out-of-Home
The Agence Métropolitaine de Transport (AMT) has awarded the management of its advertising network to Astral Out-of-Home, following a request-for-information process.
The contract covers all advertising faces aboard trains, in train stations, park-and-ride facilities, as well as metropolitan terminals. AMT’s current advertising network includes about 1,000 faces in trains and stations.
"Astral Out-of-Home and AMT’s relationship goes back to 2009 when Astral proceeded with the installation of the first two structures of its digital advertising network on land owned by AMT," said Joël Gauthier, President and CEO of AMT. AMT wants to increase its advertising revenues while benefiting from a platform to promote public transportation. Astral Out-of-Home’s innovative approach guided our choice of a new partner."
"This announcement leverages the offer of Astral Out-of-Home’s transportation division. With nearly 16 million train passengers and 71 million persons moving through the metropolitan terminals annually, AMT’s clientele is composed of active consumers and professionals representing a choice target market for advertisers. With a solid presence in the Montréal and Québec City airports, the addition of AMT’s major advertising network positions Astral Out-of-Home as a key player in this sector in Québec," stated Luc Sabbatini, President of Astral Out-of-Home.
