Fevad_logoLast week, the Fevad (French E-commerce and Distance Selling Trade Association) and Médiamétrie published the results of their 7th barometer of internet purchase behaviour.

According to the study, nearly 9 out of 10 internet users prepare their purchases online – with a new twist: information channels are converging since the web is also being consulted at the point of sale. At present, 1 out of 10 internet users consults interactive terminals within ‘connected stores’.

The mobile phone has also altered the purchase process in-store, since more than 1 in 3 (35%) of mobile phone users has surfed the web from his phone whilst in the store:

• 36% to check the price in other stores,
• 29% to locate other stores,
• 26% to show the product to the sales person.
