Canada: New Danone Public Participation Campaign Based on Facebook and Astral Affichage’s Digital Network

22 August 2011 20 h 44 min

Astral_Affichage_Danone_Activia_deWhat new flavour of Activia dessert would you like to have available? That’s the question that Danone is currently asking its followers on Facebook in Canada.

Internet users are invited to choose between three new flavours and to upload their photo via a dedicated Facebook app. Why the photo? Because those who want to can see their picture include in the Activia dessert ad campaign on the Astral Outdoor digital signage network in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.

Every 10 seconds the screens show a picture of a customer with the text “I want flavour X or Y”. The panels are fitted with a webcam, so participants receive a photo of the screen taken at the moment when their picture is being shown.

The campaign was created by Sid Lee and the media buy was done by MPG.
