Belgium: The New Clear Channel/SNCB Digital Network in Railway Stations

Clear Channel and SNCB-Holding’s jointly-owned affiliate, Publifer, has unveiled its new digital signage network.

As already announced, over 110 vertical 70” LCD screens will be progressively installed in the 11 biggest railway stations in the country.

Marketing for the 2 networks created will start on November 1st.

The first network is composed of 90 screens deployed at Brussels-North, Brussels-Southi, Brussels-Central, Antwerp-Central, Ghent-Saint-Pierre, Louvain, Malines, Ottignies, Namur, Bruges and later at Liège-Guillemins.

Each screen will show a 30 second loop, made up of 5 messages of 6 seconds in length. Four of the messages will be advertising and the last message will be informational (weather forecasts, general news, messages from Child Focus, job offers from the railway company SNCB, etc…)

The second network consists of 22 screens installed in the High Speed areas at Brussels-South and Antwerp-Central. Here the loop will be 60 seconds long, and made up of 10 ad spots of 6 seconds.

The combined networks will reach nearly one million unique consumers per week.

A third network will be added on January 2nd 2012. This will feature 5 giant panoramic horizontal screens (4 meters long by 1 meter high) at Brussels-South, Brussels-Central, Antwerp-Central and Ghent-Saint-Pierre.
