Belgium: Deployment of Digital Signage Network in Stations Not Without Hitches
Last month, SNCB Holding took Publifer, a company that it jointly owns with Clear Channel, to court.
The reason: some of the digital totems for the new digital signage network in Belgian railway stations, which is marketed by Publifer, were placed several centimetres away from the agreed locations.
The judge found in favour of SNCB Holding and ordered these screens to be removed under threat of a penalty of €10,000 per day for non-compliance. The two parties are now in discussions to find an amicable solution to the issue.
It’s interesting to note that Publifer contracted out the installation and technical operation of the network to Syntigo, the CTI subsidiary of… SNCB Holding.
