UK: Clear Channel Launches 3D Campaign for Immortals

A new 3D digital campaign has been launched on Clear Channel’s sites across London promoting Universal Pictures new 3D film, Immortals. Bought and planned by Mediacom and Kinetic, this campaign enables consumers to engage with a bespoke 3D trailer on 42” HD screens.
Viewers see the characters appear out of the bus shelters in three high profile London locations on Old Street, Oxford Street and Sloane Street.
The original Immortals trailer has been converted to 3D with additional elements re-created “to take the film promotion into the next dimension”.
The ‘Real 3D’ total surrounding effect is achieved without the use of glasses through a specialist filter affixed to the HD display. The LCD image is then subdivided into complex repeating segments that result in the human binocular vision interpreting the image as a ‘Real 3D’ scene.
