France: Dagobert Designs New Interactive Totems for Castorama
2 December 2011 12 h 37 min2 Comments

Castorama (Kingfisher) is currently testing new touch-screen totems, designed by the Dagobert Agency, in two pilot stores in France.
Two different kinds of totems are used:
- way-finding totems – a total of 4 per store – enabling shoppers to locate products and services throughout the store;
- “ZRM” totems – a total of 22 per store – enabling shoppers to browse through the products, see the ones in stock, order and then pay at the cash desk and collect their goods.
The aim of the project is clearly to provide the customer with more autonomy within the store – a concept that the company has already introduced with its iPhone App, launched in February 2010.
