Scala Inc. and IAdea have announced a new generation of HTML5-capable digital signage devices from IAdea designed to work with Scala’s Enterprise Content Manager software and SignChannel, Scala’s low-cost cloud-based service.

HTML5 is the next-generation content platform for the web and mobile devices. Digital signage users can re-use content made for websites and mobile devices by re-purposing media assets for use in digital signage. In addition, HTML5 enables live integration with search engines and leading social media platforms, like Facebook and Twitter, so that online activities among user communities can be shown on the digital signage screen in real time.

The two companies will jointly demonstrate the new products at the upcoming Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2012, January 31 – February 2, 2012 at Amsterdam RAI, NL, and the Digital Signage Expo (DSE) 2012, March 6-9, 2012, Las Vegas, USA.
