China:Shanghai Bans Use of Sound in Public Transport

In order to fight against “increasing sound pollution”, Shanghai local government has banned the use of sound on all digital signage networks deployed in public transport: buses, bus-shelters, underground, carriages, taxis, trains, stations, ports, ferries etc. Inspections are currently being carried out to check that the order is being implemented.
